Kano State Acting Governor Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna emphasized the commitment of the state government to ensure the safety of the lives and property of the people of Kano State.
He announced on Monday when a delegation from the National Intelligence Management Course (EIMC 15) from the Center for Security Studies paid him a courtesy call at the Government House.
He said the state government had expanded its security committee to recruit various security personnel through regular meetings to ensure stability in the state.
“You are in Kano, one of the most peaceful states in the country. The state is at peace because of the concern and determination shown by our governor. ”
Gawuna also indicated that the state government is interested in the Center and its programs as it seeks to improve security in the country.
He expressed his pleasure to see participants from other states, related agencies, and other neighboring countries and assured us that the center would continue to work closely with it to achieve its set security objectives.
The Commandant of the Center, Alh. Ayodele Saheed Adeleke said, “The participants who are Assistant Directors in various capacities have come to Kano on a study tour to look at the various ways in which climate change is affecting the state to find solutions for economic benefits and improve livelihoods and environmental protection”.
While thanking the acting governor for the hospitality extended to them … he added that the participants would also focus on issues related to intelligence, security, logistics, and technology.
