NIGER COMMISSIONER OF EDUCATION INAUGURATES A TECHNICAL WORKING TEAM TO REVIEW EDUCATION SECTOR PERFORMANCE.

Niger State Commissioner for Education Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu has inaugurated the Education Sector Technical Working Team (TWT) for the year 2022 to review the education sector performance report in Niger State for 2017- 2021.

The Commissioner who was was was was Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Abdullahi Usman Imam charged the team to be cautious of the time frame of the activity and promised to provide the team with all the necessary resources they needed for the success of the activity.

Therefore, nominated Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim Lemu of Niger State Teacher’s Professional development Institute to lead the team due to his vast experience and technical know-how in the field.

The Technical Working Team is expected to review the education sector performance report for the year 2roll over1 and also roll over the medium term sector strategy (MTSS) 2023- 2025 respectively.

The education sector is comprised of the Ministry of Education and its Agencies and the Ministry of Tertiary Education Science and Technology and its Agencies, as such the membership of the team was drawn from the two Ministry.

It is worthy of note that, there is a sector planning team that is responsible for planning all education activities chaired by the Niger State Commissioner for Education and co-chaired by the Hon. Tertiary Education Science and Technology.
