BREAKING NEWS: Senator Barau Jibril set to dump APC

Senator Barau I. Jibril, representing Kano North, will officially announce his withdrawal from the All Progressive Congress (APC)

Two days ago, His Excellency the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR, was blessed with N20 million for the purchase of a Senatorial nomination form in Kano North by Members of the Kano State House of Representatives, which will replace Barau Jibril.

However, there were reports that the governor Ganduje initially didn’t want to run, focusing on forming a new government at the national level to seek the post of secretary to the federal government or any other high-ranking position.

Previously, Governor Ganduje and Senator Barau had been invited for mediation in Abuja on Saturday although the final results of the consensus had not been released, the senator’s move indicated that no agreement had been reached.

A source close to the senator said, “Senator Barau will officially announce his decision to leave the APC next week”.

Barau accused the Kano State government of failing to establish the foundations of democracy and making them empty in the state.

Details soon…
