Former Vice President of Nigeria and PDP presidential Aspirin the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar has urged Nigerians to strengthen their love despite our religious differences, saying love is the key to unity.
In his Eid-ul-Fitr message to Muslims, the former vice president called on Nigerians to increase mutual understanding and respect, despite ethnic and religious differences.
“We should use religion as a means of creating unity, love, and harmony instead of using it to fuel hatred and intolerance towards one another, which often leads to meaningless conflicts. It is better to avoid selfish politicians, ”Atiku stressed.
Speaking on the fasting month of Ramadan, the Adamawa State Minister said, “We should not neglect the useful lessons during the month of Ramadan. Indeed, religious scholars have warned against it.”
Welcoming Muslims, the former vice president called for more dialogue between the two religions to close the gap between the two religions.
“We must not cooperate with people who are obstructing interfaith dialogue because doing so could create an environment for extremists to thrive. We must not allow them to succeed,” Atiku said.
